UGC NET Re Exam
Demand to stop re-examination of UGC NET, petition filed in Supreme Court
After the paper leak, the controversy over UGC NET is not stopping yet. Now a new petition has been filed in the Supreme Court. In the petition, a demand has been made to stop the re-examination of UGC NET. The petitioner says that the examination should not be conducted until the CBI completes the investigation of the paper leak case.
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Ministry of Education to cancel UGC-NET. The ministry canceled UGC-NET on June 19 after getting information about the paper leak and handed over the investigation of the case to the CBI. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra is going to hear the petition.
This argument given in the petition
In the petition filed by advocate Ujjwal Gaur, a request has been made to direct to stop the proposed re-examination of UGC-NET till the time the CBI completes the investigation of the allegations of question paper leak.
Petitioner calls the decision arbitrary
The petitioner says that keeping in view the recent findings of the CBI, the decision (to conduct the exam again) is not only arbitrary but also unjust. The CBI investigation has revealed the fact that the evidence claiming question paper leak has been tampered with.
