- Candidates must read carefully the Instructions (including how to fill up Application Form online) given in the Information Bulletin available on the NTA Website. Candidates not complying with the Instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
- Candidates can apply for NTET 2024 through “Online” mode only. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
- Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted.

- Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility.
- Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:
Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using own Email Id and Mobile No.
Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application Number. Upload scanned images of: (i) a recent photograph (file size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background; (ii) candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb).
Step-3:Pay fee using the Payment Gateway(s) integrated to the Online Application through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI and keep proof of fee paid.
NTET- National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET)-2024
- The National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for each discipline of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy shall be conducted by the Commission for the postgraduates of each discipline of Indian system of medicine & Homoeopathy who desire to take up teaching profession.
- The Teachers’ eligibility shall be valid for a period of ten years from the date of qualifying National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy and any person fails to join within a period of ten years or break of ten years or more in teaching profession, such persons shall have to qualify once again National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy to join or re-join teaching profession.
- The National Teachers’ Eligibility test is to assess teaching aptitude; communication skills; classroom management; teaching, training and assessment technology; student psychology; andragogy; pedagogy or such other as may be specified by the Commissions from time to time.
- The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine & Homoeopathy shall be a post-graduate degree holder in a discipline recognized by the Commissions or erstwhile Central Council for Indian System of Medicine/ Central council of Homoeopathy
- A candidate secured minimum of fifty percent and above shall be declared as qualified in National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy.
- The qualified candidates shall be issued ‘NTET Certificate’ certificate by the respective Commission

NTET Marking Scheme:
- Each question carries 01 (one)
- For each correct response, candidate will get 01 (one)

- Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no
- To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct
- However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.
- In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

- The Post-Graduate degree students in Indian System of Medicine completed thirty months of Post-graduate Degree program shall be eligible to appear in this examination whereas for homoeopathic system of Medicine the candidate with recognized Post-Graduate degree shall be eligible to appear in this examination.
- Any person having requisite qualifications and age for teacher who is working or has worked in non-teaching profession such as medical officers, research officers and desire to take up teaching profession, shall have to qualify the National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine.
- Any person who desires to take up teaching profession for the first time as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in Indian System of Medicine who is possessing the requisite age and qualifications as specified in the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum Standards of Undergraduate Ayurveda Education) Regulations, 2022; the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum Standards of Undergraduate Unani Education) Regulations, 2022; the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Minimum Standards of Undergraduate Siddha Education) Regulations,
Homoeopathy
- Any person who desires to take up teaching profession at the level of Assistant professor for the first time shall have to appear for this examination and shall have to obtain minimum of fifty percent. (without round off) of marks to get qualified.
- Master of Science in Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Master of Public Health from recognised Institutes can also appear for National Teacher’s Eligibility Test examination for the post of Assistant Professor, if the candidates are holding the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery degree.
- Any person who desires to take up teaching profession at the level of Associate professor for the first time and having five years of experience in regular service (after possessing post-graduate qualification in the concerned subject) in Central Government Health Services or State Government Health services, Ministry of Ayush or full time five years of experience as medical officer in regular service (after possessing postgraduate qualification in the concerned subject) in recognised Homoeopathy Medical College can appear in National Teacher’s Eligibility Test examination for the post of Associate Professor.
- Any person who desires to take up teaching profession at the level of Associate professor for the first time and having recognised Post Graduate qualification in Homoeopathy in concerned subject with five years of fulltime research experience in Research Councils of Central Government or State Government or Union territory Administration or University or National Institutions with at least three publication in indexed or peer reviewed journal can appear in National Teacher’s Eligibility Test examination for the post of Associate Professor.
- Doctor of Philosophy degree holder along with Master of Science in Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology and Master of Public Health from recognised Institutes can appear in National Teacher’s Eligibility Test examination for the post of Assistant Professor.
Qualifying Percentage:
A candidate secured minimum of fifty percent and above shall be declared as qualified in National Teachers’ Eligibility Test for Indian System of Medicine/ Homoeopathy.
Facilities for PwD candidates to appear in the exam
- Guidelines for conducting written examination for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities above 40% vide letter dated 29 August 2018 from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
NTET Cities for Exam Centre
- The City of Examination Centres where the test shall be conducted are given at Annexure-III. It is mandatory for candidates to select Four cities of their choice while filling Online Application Form of NTET 2024. Effort will be made to allot Centre of Examination to the candidates in order of the City Choice opted by them in their Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted.
- In case, there are very few candidates from a City, the NTA reserves the right to merge cities.
- The decision of the NTA regarding the allotment of the City/Centre shall be final. No further correspondence or request shall be entertained in such a case.
- While filling up the Online Application Form, candidates should select four cities from Appendix llI as their Choice of Cities for the Test Centre in order of their priority.
- NTA will not be responsible for any inconvenience due to the incorrect selection of cities by the candidates.
NTET Registration and Application Process Instructions for filling online Application Form

- Candidates have to apply for NTET-2024 “Online” ONLY by accessing the website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/NTET/The Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will be rejected.
- It is suggested that the candidate should keep the following ready before starting the filling of the Application Form:
- A computer with proper internet connectivity
- The particulars of a valid Government ID proof
- The Date of Birth (as mentioned in Class X Board Certificate)
- Govt Identity Details like Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/PAN Number/ Other valid Govt IDs.

Admit Card for NTET 2024
The Admit Card is issued provisionally to the candidates, subject to their satisfying the eligibility conditions.
The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on Date and timing as indicated in their Admit Card.
No candidate will be allowed to appear at the Examination centre, on Date and timing other than that allotted to them in their Admit Card.
